All tests performed on the same machine Dell Poweredge 1650
with 512Mb of RAM and 1Gb of swap.

I each time ran the tests on 4 different filesystems , XFS, JFS,
ReiserFS and EXT3 on a default Suse Suse 8.2 install with Linux
2.4.20-4GB.
For the MySQL 3.23 tests I used a different filesystem for each
tests, with the same size but probably a different location on the disks.
For the MySQL 4.1 test , I each time used the same partition, but freshly
reinitiated with a new filesystem type. The results are below.
