Environment

The environment in which I performed these tests is as such. My laptop( A PIII 666 with 250Mb ram) , my old test machine (A PII 266 with 62Mb ram) and my girlfriends computer (A PIII 500 with 128Mb ram). These machines were connected using a 10 Mb HUB.

All of these machines were running the openmosixmigshm 2.4.21 kernels (based on the migShm-1.4 patch for openMosix 2.4.21-1 (you can download the RPM's for these kernels from http://howto.ipng.be/openMosix-Migshm-rpm/

As you can see this configuration is far from ideal to run clustering tests. However given the fact that we were not looking for performance results, but for the actual "does this work" results, the environment suited our needs.
